Grants and Awards

The Manitoba Institute of Child Health, along with the financial support of the Children’s Hospital Foundation of Manitoba, has a number of funding opportunities for researchers and students involved in child health research related studies.

We support excellence and innovation in pediatric research by providing funding opportunities for the following:

  • Operating Grants
  • Establishment Grants
  • Travel Grants
  • Small Grants
  • BSc Medicine Studentships
  • BSc Dentistry Studentships
  • Undergraduate Summer Studentships
  • Graduate Studentships
  • Clinical Post Doctoral Fellowships
  • Post Doctoral Fellowships

We recognize the vital importance of fostering the career development and mentorship of the next generation of child health researchers. Partnering with other organizations such as the Manitoba Health Research Council, we are able to provide matching funding that allows more researchers to benefit from available resources. By providing our members’ trainees with funding opportunities, the Manitoba Institute of Child Health paves the wave for the futures of young scientists and their research.

Grant and Award applications will only be considered from Manitoba Institute of Child Health (MICH) members and from trainees who are directly supervised by a MICH member. To find out the benefits of membership and how to apply, please click here.
